Cantaloupe Recipes

Cantaloupes are a deliciously sweet summer melon. To select a ripe melon, be sure that you can detect a sweet fragrance from the blossom end of the fruit. Watermelons are 90% water, and are completely edible including rinds and seeds! Choose a fruit that is symmetrical and heavy for its size.

To Store:

Store ripe, whole and cut melons in the fridge for 3-5 days. 

Preparation:

Most melons are prepared raw, by themselves or in a fruit salad.  Cut melon in half, spoon out the seeds and slice away. Cantaloupes also make excellent additions to smoothies or homemade popsicles.
