Dr. Christopher Burke, is president of Christopher B. Burke Engineering, LTD. Dr. Burke
lives in Naperville with his wife Susan and their four children.Burke has been the leader in his firm’s rise since 1986 as one of the most well respected civil and environmental engineering firms in Illinois. Dr. Burke and his firm specialize in civil, transportation, drainage, mechanical, environmental, and water resources engineering and construction observation for an array of private, municipal, county, state, and federal agencies.  He is also a Professor of Practice at the University of Illinois-Chicago where he has taught hydrology and hydraulics classes for nearly 20 years and is active in many professional societies and other Conservation focused organizations.

Burke brings to the board a perspective of land use and stormwater management, helps us strengthen relations with the development community, and with numerous water-related restoration projects of the Foundation.

“I have always admired the work of The Conservation Foundation and how they work quietly behind the scenes to get things done,” Burke said. “I am very excited about helping to increase the Foundation’s capacity to preserve more land and clean up our rivers.”
