If you were not able to attend the sold-out DuPage Environmental Summit held at the end of January, we still wanted you to be able to learn about Nature Rx: How Nature is Good for Our Minds, Bodies and Souls.
Our speakers at the Summit were amazing and we were so impressed with the attendance and the interest in this topic. The Conservation Foundation is pursuing conversations and partnerships to plan out a public education and outreach campaign focused on spreading the word about the connections between spending time in Nature and our own health and well-being. We hope to increase the number of people participating in outdoor activities, both guided and informal. If your business, organization or agency is interested in discussing a partnership with us on this, please let us know.
Here are the video links to the four presentations from the Nature Rx Summit:
Dr. Teresa Horton, Where’s the tree?
Jon Ashworth, Lake County Health Department
Dr. Kristen Esposito Brendel, Mindfulness
Brenda Spitzer, The Morton Arboretum, Forest Bathing
Also, please use the short, hilarious Nature Rx videos at http://www.nature-rx.org/ to share this message with your friends, colleagues and networks.
We want to thank our generous DuPage Environmental Summit sponsors for keeping this annual event free:
