Fox River Cleanup – St. Charles

The River Corridor Foundation of St. Charles and The Conservation Foundation are working together to conduct a volunteer Fox River clean-up on Saturday, September 19, 2020 as part of the annual “It’s Our Fox River Day” river cleanups and community celebrations in towns along the Fox River being coordinated by Friends of the Fox River. Citizens will be banding together along the entire Fox River, from Waukesha, WI to Ottawa, IL, to clean up trash and litter all along the river.
The St. Charles cleanup event activities will take place from 9:00AM-Noon. Interested individuals are encouraged to register on-line at https://friendsofthefoxriver.org/fox-river-day/ or contact Dan Lobbes at firstname.lastname@example.org or 630-428-4500, Ext. 104.
Check-in and drive-in registration the day of the event will take place between 8:30 and 9:00 a.m. at Ferson Creek Park, north of St. Charles along Rt. 31. Click here for a map.
Volunteers should bring sturdy gloves, a face mask, closed toed shoes or boots. Canoes and Kayaks are also welcome. The Conservation Foundation will provide trash bags, grabber and poker tools.
Precautions will be taken to ensure social distancing and masks will be required.
