2020 ~ It’s definitely been a year many of us would like to forget!
The COVID-19 pandemic, social unrest, fires, floods and the uncertainty of the future –
At The Conservation Foundation, we have all felt the heaviness of life in these times right along with you.
But as with all trials, there are points of hope and valuable lessons to be gleaned from amongst the struggle. We have been forced to determine and turn to what is truly essential and most meaningful in our lives, and for so many people that “turning to” has been to nature. We need clean water and clean air for our very physical existence, and we need the beauty and tranquility nature offers to sooth our senses and souls and help us cope with all that is going on around us.
Nature is the foundation of our existence.
It only makes sense that that is where we turn when our footing starts to feel a little shaky.

The incredibly generous visionaries of the Hamill Family Foundation, recognizing the obvious concerns these unprecedented times bring to a philanthropy-based organization like The Conservation Foundation, have set forth a challenge to help send us into 2021 stronger than ever.
If we can raise $100,000 of new, or additional, money by the end of 2020,
the Hamill Family Foundation will donate an additional $100,000.
