The Conservation Foundation is a partner with The DuPage Community Foundation and the Community Foundation of the Fox River Valley in providing scholarships for college students studying in the environmental fields.
The following two scholarships are available to area college students who are majoring in natural resources or a related field:
The Conservation Foundation Environmental Scholarship Fund
The Conservation Foundation’s Environmental Scholarship Fund was established in 2007 within the Community Foundation of the Fox River Valley to provide annual scholarships to students pursuing careers in natural resource management (e.g., forestry, wildlife management, etc.) or other environmentally related fields of study. This scholarship is available to students residing in The Conservation Foundation’s service area (DuPage, Kane, Kendall and Will Counties) who are or will be upper classmen attending an accredited two-year college, or a four-year accredited college or university. Applications are due January 15, 2012. Paul D. Pierotti Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship fund was established in 2006 by the Forest Preserve District of DuPage County President D. “Dewey Pierotti, Jr. and his wife, Leslie, in memory of their late son Paul. This scholarship is designed for students from DuPage, Kane, Kendall or Will Counties pursuing college majors and careers in the environmental fields. New for 2012 only is a scholarship for students studying in the agricultural sciences. Applicants must be a volunteer or associated with the Forest Preserve District of DuPage County or a volunteer, or member/donor of The Conservation Foundation.
