The Conservation Foundation is partnering with the St. Charles River Corridor Foundation to help clean up the Fox in St. Charles! Join us for a morning of fun! Land side and water side pick-up “teams” are encouraged, and we welcome canoes and kayaks to join the activities! Plan to arrive between 8:30 and 8:45 to pick up supplies, and get instructions.
Meet at Ferson Creek Park on Rte. 31 by 8:45 a.m. to pick up your supplies, meet your fellow team members, and get your assigned location. Depart at 9 and work until 11:30 unless you finish earlier. Please pre-register. Look for the Volunteer registration form at the bottom of the page at https://friendsofthefoxriver.org/love-our-river-days-2-2/
Walk-ins and in-person registrations Saturday morning are welcome. The Conservation Foundation will furnish trash bags, gloves, grabbers and pickers to gather debris. Water and light snacks will also be provided.
The event is part of a first annual river-length clean-up of the Fox from its origins in Waukesha, WI to Ottawa, IL to the river’s confluence with the Illinois River that is being coordinated by Friends of the Fox River.
