A Fox River Testimony Selected Works at Elgin History Museum
September 13, 2019 @ 5:00 pm - November 15, 2019 @ 4:00 pm
Don’t miss the last exhibit of selected works from A Fox River Testimony, the collection of original Fox River paintings by plein air artist Joel Sheesley as part of our Art of the Fox program.
All are invited to join us for an Exhibit Opening Reception on September 13th from 5pm to 7pm at the Elgin History Museum. Original paintings, limited edition prints and A Fox River Testimony coffee table books, which combine Joel’s exquisite writings with his stunning paintings, will be for sale during the reception. Enjoy drinks and hors d’oeuvres, peruse the paintings and speak to artist Joel Sheesley himself on this special evening. Registration is required and will open shortly so check back soon!
About 20 of the 90+ paintings Joel created in his two years travelling up and down the Fox River will then be on display at the Elgin History Museum from September 14th to November 15th. The Elgin History Museum is located at 360 Park Street in Elgin, and is open Wednesday through Saturday, 11am to 4pm. To learn more about the museum, click here.
We have so enjoyed our collaboration with artist Joel Sheesley on this project, and all of the people we have met along the way who share our love of the Fox River. And we hope others have come to love the Fox through this project as well; that was, after all, our shared intent.
